I copied a friends MS Access file, very large size upwards of 1 Giga, the tables contained a lot of info.
What I did is susbstituted for my data, which has the same columns, headings, structure, etc., but even though I have nowhere the amount of data he has, my file is exactly the same size as his file!
What is going on, even when I clear the tables of any data, the size is exactly the same, 1.2 gigas.
What can I do to make my file smaller in size?
Copied large MS Access file w/huge tables %26amp;queries, cleared most of data, but size did not change! How can I?
In Microsoft Access go to Tools, Database Utilities and click Compact and Repair. This will reduce the size of your file.

Access databases never get smaller automatically. You need to compact the database.

Removed album art, file size the same?
So, I have a FLAC collection of over 1000. Since my music player (Cowon S9) is 'only' 32GB, I decided to remove all the album art with Media Monkey so I could store a couple more albums (I added all the album art manually with high quality pics, adding a noticeable amount to file size).
After I removed it all, the file size didn't change,
I tested 1 song. I added a 2MB picture (via media monkey), and then removed it. The file went from 25MB-%26gt;27MB, but when removed, it stayed at 27MB.
So, now I have tons of wasted space on my FLAC collection.
Any help?

If you've truly deleted it, regardless of what it shows, you have created free space.howtodealwithhusband healthy hair

Can I change the font size and color in a PDF file?

Can I change the font size and color in a PDF file?
You may need a PDF editor like Adobe Acrobat.
Or you can convert pdf to word, and change the font size and color in word, and convert back to PDF.
You can try pdf to word converter.http://www.anypdftools.com/index.html?pa鈥?/a>
It works on me.
Can I change the font size and color in a PDF file?
Not with the ordinary reader, you either need an Adobe program that lets you edit pdf, or convert it to word, change it and convert it back to pdf. Send me the file and what you ant and I'll see what I can do with my conversion software. If it's a scanned image, you can't do anything.

I need to make sure that a photoshop file is at 300dpi. Is that under image size?
Is there a way to change multiple files to 300dpi?
I need to make sure that a photoshop file is at 300dpi. Is that under image size?
Yes, it's under Image Size... You can also use Automate%26gt; Batch... if more than 10 psd but providing that you know how to use the Photoshop action.
Look for %26quot;Resolution - pixels/inch%26quot; to find out whats your file size.

Jpg files and some help when pasting them into a word document. Why does the file size increase dramatically?
I have been helping my daughter prepare her CV which she wants to email to employment agencies over seas, before she travels. She has 10 Diplomas/Certificates to include at the end of her CV %26amp; I have changed them from word to .jpg format which reduced them significantly in size. In .jpg format the 10 files total 567KB ( about half a MB). After I paste those 10 files into the CV (a word document) the file size INCREASES to 3.854 MB, which when combined with the rest of her CV comes to a toal file size of more than 4MB. This file size is too large to email easily ( she uses hotmail). Can someone please HELP. Why do the jpg files increase so much in size?. What can I do to get the total CV (including .jpg's) down to a more manageable %26amp; user friendly size?. Thanks
Jpg files and some help when pasting them into a word document. Why does the file size increase dramatically?
Here's what you need to do: Edit the pictures to size and quality *before* you insert them in the CV. It seems clear you are inserting full-size, unedited files and then adjusting their size inside the document. If you edit them first, before you insert them, their size will dramatically smaller, and if you adjust the quality level you will find you can make the files much smaller while retaining much if not most or all of their original quality and impact. You will do fine with almost any photo editor -- crop, resize, adjust quality until the saved file is much, much smaller.

Is there a way to change icon view in vista so it will show file size and/or number of files in a folder?
Like i know in windows explorer its supposed to show file size but it doesnt. So I want to know how to enable it, also I was wondering if on the desktop there is a way to show how many items are in the folder under the folder name
Is there a way to change icon view in vista so it will show file size and/or number of files in a folder?
In the Control Panel %26gt; Folder Options, choose the %26quot;Details View%26quot; and apply to all folders.
Later, you can set Pictures, for example, to it's own non-text view, if you want.

Can you reccomend me a site to keep picture files?
I'm a little too tired of Photobucket.. I need a place, that lets you organize your pictures in folders, doesn't change file size and is free. Can you reccomend me one? No tinypic, pls..
Can you reccomend me a site to keep picture files?
Webshots, Flickr, Myphotoalbum would be the top three I would recommend since you are not interested in photo bucket. I use Kodak Easy Share Gallery but only when I need to make a purchase from them. Places like Shutterfly, Kodak, and similar places have online storage but require you to make periodic purchases to keep your photos online. For free photo storage, the first three I mentioned are the best, Flickr is my first choice of those three.hair gel asp hosting
