Every time i try to import an avi file to my windows movie maker it always pulls up just like music?

what i need to know is how to make it work because i am trying to change the file into a to reduce the file size but everytime i do it it always just comes out as music on the media player i use.

I use VLC to play AVI files ... It workd great and the program is safe and free to download.

Sounds like you have a movie file (DivX), and you need a codec to play it.



There are a variety of codec packs out there. I recommend FFDShow: Light on resources, and virtually glitch free.
