Can you compress an image without changing the actual size of it?

meaning,

i want a picture that is 760 x 375

ive made it, but the file size is too big for what i need it for.

can i compress it so the file is smaller but the attributes are still 760 x 375?
Can you compress an image without changing the actual size of it?
Yes. There are many ways to do this, but the easiest is a free utility I have come to love.

If you want more options, then download GIMP (free photoshop)

Can you compress an image without changing the actual size of it?
Depends what the image is and what it is used for, for instance if its a Bitmap (ends in .bmp) the file will be a lot larger than it needs to be, if its a JPEG (ends in .jpg) then it is already compresed as much as it can go, unless you change the quality of the picture.

If the picture is not a photo and is merely made of a few colours then save it as a .GIF file this will reduce the size of the image and change it to 256 colours.

hope this helps
Yes, you can compress it, if you have Adobe Photoshop just open the picture there and click in Save As, save it as .jpg even though it already is a .jpg just save it and in the quality you put medium. The image will be the same size but only a few kb.
1. open the file on ur desktop n maximise the window

2. Press %26quot;Print screen%26quot;(prt sc) key on ur keyboard

3. Open a new paint/bitmap

4.Press Ctrl+v to paste

5. Now save it in different formats for different sizes

6. Jpeg i think will keep the quality to an extent reducing the size of the file.
You can compress the image, but it will always degrade the image quality. If it's a photo rather than artwork you will want to keep it as a jpeg, rather than a gif.
Hi,

Use Paint. net the best free software for you. This would be the exact software you are looking for.Search in google for it and you'll find it.
Yes. Compression techniques remove detail or figure out ways to describe the detail that take less space than the original format.
You would need an online image compressor. If you look up one on google, im sure you will find a decent one.

For example, here is a fast, free, good working one.
