How can I change the size of a file without deleting any of its components?

There are two ways that I know.

1)Assuming you are using XP, format your drive and use the NSTF format. When you format, make sure you check %26quot;Enable Compression%26quot;. This will compressed any files you safe into the disk, but I tell you earlier, it degrades the performance.

2)Use a compression tools like WinZIP or WinRAR. There are other compressing tools but I don't know much about it. I have working with WinRAR and its one of the compression tools out there. I provided you with the link in the source.

You can't, unless it's about a picture that you can resize.

If it is about a file you need to send over the internet but it is too large, you can use a file splitter http://www.filesplitter.org/
well the only way to change the file size by compressing it

you can compress the file by using 7z .

the 7z application can be downloaded from following site:-

http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
Try compressing it.

Or if you would like to email it have a look at Free File Splitter http://www.deepcom.com/ It's a great little tool that is easy to use. The person you send the chunks to will need it aswell in order to rejoin the chunks.

Hope this helps.
you can by changing its format or simply by compressing it

to compress it you must need something loike winrar or so

to change its format you must need the appropriate software for eg: you have a 700mb video file in .avi format if you change it to .mkv you will have the same file size around 400mb or maybe 300mb but to do this you must need video converter

same for other cases
