Inserted a DVD +R into my iMac to burn movies. The movies where originally downloaded from online and are approximately 7MB or more. When I drag and drop each movie file to the disk it shows the file size as 328KB. Why is this happening?|||The file size on the dvd is of the link to the actual file on your hard drive because you have not burned the disk yet. (I assume your just dragging and dropping the file on the dvd)
When you burn the disk the link to the file is replaced with the actual file.|||DVD+R: DVD+Recordable define a standard for recordable DVD drives and media defined by the DVDRW Alliance. Often called %26quot;plus R%26quot;, the format is writing once (compared to DVD+RW which can be erased and rewritten). The single sided discs can hold 4,700,000,000 bytes (4.38 Gigabytes at 1024 bytes to the kilobyte) with double sided discs holding twice as much.
