How do I change file size of digital photos?

I%26#039;m trying to upload pics from my Kodak Easyshare C340 to a webpage. It seems the pics file size is too big....taking forever....how do I fix this problem?|||If the pic extension is .bmp then save it as .jpg (it will decrease the size of the pic).

Or if you have Irfan view...open ur picture with Irfan view %26amp; save it as .jpg

It will 110% decrease the size of the pic.

Best of Luck.|||Changing a file extension won%26#039;t have any effect on the size of the pic whatsoever.

|||You%26#039;ll need to open the file in whatever program you use (ie. paint, various photoediting softwares, etc.) and then save it as a JPG. Just so you know, converting to a jpg will reduce the quality a little bit but if it is meant for a webpage, it shouldn%26#039;t make much of a difference.

|||I also have a Kodak Easyshare, you have to change the size of the pic on the camera...menu section.|||Download and install Picasa 2 from google. It will organize your photos for you and the export button will allow you to resize you photos easily...
